WHAT

MILANO CHALLENGE is a jiu-jitsu Tournament that has come to its tenth edition. Registration to the competition is open to men and women with white, blue, purple, brown or black belts.

WHEN

MILANO CHALLENGE takes place twice a year in the Fall and Spring edition. The next MILANO CHALLENGE Fall 2018 will be SATURDAY, 1 and SUNDAY, 2 DECEMBER 2018 from 9:00 to 19:00.

WHERE

The competition will be held at PalaBadminton located in Via Giovanni Cimabue 24, Milan – ITALY

PRICE

The registration costs are as follows:
GI or NO GI: 30 euros (up to 8/10) and 45 euros (until 26/11)
GI and NO GI: 45 euros (up to 8/10) and 60 euros (until 26/11)
KIDS & JUNIOR: 15 euros (up to 8/10) and 25 euros (until 26/11)

REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION IS OPEN UNTILL NOVEMBER 26, 2018.

The registration for MILANO CHALLENGE is nominal and not transferable. After the registration is received and the receipt of the payment confirmation is sent, you will not be able to claim a refund.

All changes requests must be communicated WITHIN November 26, 2018.

What is the minimum age to compete at MILANO CHALLENGE?

All participants in the GI and NO GI championship must be of legal age. Minors can register in the JUNIOR and KIDS categories.

How are the categories divided:
ADULT, MASTER I e MASTER II?

MILANO CHALLENGE follows the regulations imposed by IBJJF.
Below the table for the calculation of the different age categories:

JUNIOR: from 2014 to 2003
JUVENILE: from 2002 to 2001

ADULT: from 2000 to 1989
MATCH TIME: White: 5 min | Blue: 6 min | Purple: 7 min | Brown: 8 min | Black: 10 min

MASTER I: from 1988 to 1983
MATCH TIME: White / Blue: 5 min | Purple / Brown / Black: 6 min

MASTER II: before 1983
MATCH TIME: All Belts: 5 min

What are Kimons allowed at MILANO CHALLENGE?
As in all competitions under the aegis of the IBJJF only white, blue and black GI are allowed. For the specific requirements, it is advisable to consult the official IBJJF regulation.

In order to compete at MILANO CHALLENGE you need to be a member of UIJJ or IBJJF?
Anyone can compete at MILANO CHALLENGE, even non-registered athletes at UIJJ. They will need to meet the criteria and regulations imposed by IBJJF.

What if there is no one in my weight category once registration is closed?
When there are no opponents in your category, you can be moved to the age or weight category closest to yours.

When the weightin will take place?
Every athlete, according to the IBJJF regulation, will be weighed a few minutes before his first meeting.

When will information on the schedule of MILANO CHALLENGE be available?
The brackets will be available immediately after the closing of the registrations and the official schedule 48 hours later.

How much does it cost to watch MILANO CHALLENGE as a spectator?
Entrance to viewers is free.

Can you apply for a refund of the registration fee?
After the registration is received and the receipt of the payment confirmation is sent, you will not be able to claim a refund.
